Local selection processing
Privacy
Bandvalue calculates the selected reference code in your browser. The calculator source does not deliberately send band selections, interpreted resistance or tolerance intervals to a server. It does not use a camera, image upload, remote recognition service, measurement device or sign-in. No photograph is needed to use the tool.
During the page session
The current selections and result remain in page memory while you use it. The tool does not use local storage or session storage to save band choices. Startup explicitly restores the fixed public example even if the browser initially restores a form state. Reset does the same. Mode or band changes clear the old result, formula, diagram and exports until you decode again.
The controls have no native form-submission names and the script does not build the selection into page URLs. This avoids a calculator-generated query-string copy of the chosen sequence. Browser extensions, device access, browser-managed form restoration and operating-system history are outside this tool's control.
Optional copies and downloads
Copy uses the browser clipboard interface when available. If permission is unavailable, a manual-copy box shows the current notes. Downloads create local text or JSON files with the selected roles, exact result and model limits. You initiate these actions, and copies may remain in clipboard history, a downloads folder or backups. Remove them yourself if you do not want them retained.
The marked tolerance interval remains a reference calculation even when copied. It does not become a measurement, component identification or rating statement. Keep the model text with exported values so that the scope remains understandable later.
Hosting and optional email
No analytics, advertising or consent-platform loader is active in this source release. The hosting provider still receives ordinary web requests to deliver the site, including requested paths, an IP address and browser details. Local arithmetic does not mean the webpage request is anonymous.
The contact email link opens your email application. A message you choose to send uses email and forwarding providers and is separate from local calculation. The public address is an existing shared forwarding alias, with its private destination unpublished. A written invented color sequence is sufficient for ordinary feedback; avoid confidential project information or account details.
